It’s that time of the year again where the Easter bunny visits and chocolate eggs are consumed at breakfast, lunch and dinner! And with two weeks of holidays ahead of us I thought I’d put together a list of Easter events to keep the whole family entretained.

Easter Trail at Cammas Hall
Where: Needham Green, Hatfield Broad Oak, Hertfordshire, CM22 7JT.
When: 1 – 18 April
The Cammas Hall cheeky chicks are hiding around the farm. Can you spot them and solve the puzzle so that we can tempt them back? Hand in your Game Card at the farm shop to receive a tasty Easter treat.
The route is approximately half a mile and will guide you through our enchanting Cammas Wood, open farmland and developing fruit fields. Keep an eye out for any friendly forest characters along the way.

Epping Ongar Railway Easter Egg Hunt

Join us on board the Easter Express for the longest Easter Egg Hunt in Essex!
Find all the eggs that the Easter Bunny has hidden all along our line. Running the length of the railway track, from Ongar through to Coopersale, the distance covered is equivalent to 131,579 eggs placed end to end! You’ll need to hop on and off our steam and diesel trains to find them all!

Easter Egg Hunts at National Trusts

Join us for our Easter adventures in nature trails at many of the places we care for across England, Wales and Northern Ireland this spring. There’ll be lots of fun for you and your family on your trail as you do your nature-inspired activities. Complete the trail and collect your Rainforest Alliance chocolate egg. The eggs are made here in the UK using cocoa that’s responsibly sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.

Easter Trail at Hever Castle

Celebrate spring by taking part in a free Easter Egg hunt. Once you find the Easter eggs, write down all the answers hidden around the eggs and you’ll receive a chocolate treat from our information centre (dairy free alternatives available).
With a spring in your step, head to the free craft workshop and let your little ones get creative..
Inside the Castle you can listen to an interactive audio guide which is now included in the Castle & Gardens admission price. As you wander from room to room, look out for a variety of animals which hatch from eggs.

Hetty’s Easter Adventure

When: 9 – 24 April
Hetty the hen has lost her chicks and we need to find them in time for the Easter Parade. Follow the story trail around the Garden, reading about some of the hens and roosters who live at Borde Hill and discover what happened to the missing chicks. At the end of the trail tell the farmer your imaginary chicken name to receive a delicious treat.

Tumblestone Hollow Easter Trail

When: 9 – 24 April
Tickets include the Easter Trail, access to Tumblestone Hollow and the Gardens at Stonor. They do not include access to Stonor House. Children’s tickets include the Easter Trail and a prize per paying child (children over 92cm).
Wood-fired Italian pizzas (including vegan and gluten free pizzas), ice creams, hot and cold drinks and other snacks will be available from the Rumble Hut at Tumblestone Hollow as well as from the Visitor Centre daily!
